Jamila is the soul of Palais Harran. Built around an 800-year-old carved wooden bed canopy — hand-restored by the same craftsmen whose forebears raised the palace — it is the room guests return for. Light moves slowly here.
Historical note
The canopy's geometric motifs follow the mathematical principles taught in Kairouan's medieval schools, where algebra and ornament were studied as one.
